Reclamere Achieves SOC 2 Type 2 Attestation, Strengthens Cybersecurity Team with Strategic Hire
Reclamere has successfully achieved SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued commitment to structured, accountable cybersecurity practices.
Unlike point-in-time certifications, SOC 2 Type 2 evaluates how effectively an organization’s controls operate over time. Validating not just that policies exist, but that they are consistently followed and enforced.
For Reclamere, this milestone reflects more than compliance.
It represents a disciplined approach to cybersecurity: one built on governance, repeatable processes, and the ability to demonstrate that security controls are actively functioning in real-world environments.
As part of the attestation process, Reclamere’s internal controls, policies, and procedures were rigorously evaluated across a defined audit period. This included validating change management practices, security controls, operational processes, and evidence that the organization is consistently operating in alignment with its own standards.
“SOC 2 Type 2 validates something we’ve always believed. Cybersecurity isn’t just about having the right controls in place; it’s about consistently executing against them,” said CEO Angie Singer Keating. “This was a rigorous process that required us to demonstrate how our policies, processes, and technical controls operate over time. Not just in theory, but in practice.”
The process itself is both time-intensive and resource-heavy, requiring months of preparation, documentation, and validation. While many organizations pursue growth through new tools or services, fewer invest in the internal discipline required to meet this level of accountability.
That distinction matters. Cybersecurity is no longer judged solely on intent or investment. It is evaluated based on execution, consistency, and the ability to demonstrate defensible decisions.
Building on Momentum: Strengthening the Team
Alongside this milestone, Reclamere continues to invest in the people and processes that support long-term cybersecurity program maturity.
The company recently welcomed Cliff Mechalske as a Cybersecurity Project Manager, bringing more than 30 years of experience across federal and enterprise environments.
“Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 reflects the discipline behind how we operate, but maintaining that standard requires the right people and the right mindset,” said Founder Joe Harford. “Cliff brings a depth of experience and a practical, process-driven approach that aligns with how we think about cybersecurity. As we continue to grow, it’s important that we invest in individuals who understand that strong security programs are built through consistency, accountability, and follow-through.”
Cliff’s background includes work with the Department of Defense, enterprise cryptographic systems, and large-scale cybersecurity initiatives within the Veterans Affairs central office, where he supported identity and access management, zero trust principles, and risk management frameworks.
His experience aligns directly with the structured, process-driven cybersecurity approach required to achieve and maintain standards such as SOC 2 Type 2.
Beyond technical expertise, Cliff brings a perspective rooted in continuous improvement: refining processes, strengthening policies, and ensuring organizations follow through on the controls they put in place.
That mindset reflects a core principle at Reclamere: cybersecurity is not a one-time effort; it is an ongoing discipline.
A Continued Focus on Accountability
Together, these developments reflect a broader theme in Reclamere’s growth: a commitment to helping organizations move beyond reactive security toward structured, defensible cybersecurity programs.
SOC 2 Type 2 demonstrates that commitment internally, and strategic hires like Cliff ensure that commitment continues to scale externally.
As regulatory expectations rise and cyber risk gains visibility at the leadership level, organizations are being asked a different question:
Not just “Are you secure?” but “Can you prove that your decisions are reasonable, consistent, and accountable?”
Reclamere is building its approach and its team around helping organizations answer that question with confidence.
